The meaning behind this tattoo is me moving on. I recently moved to Chicago for college from an incredibly small town in Wisconsin. I'm getting a much better education here than if I would have stayed back home. I'm moving on and adapting, but I'm staying grounded even in this huge place. Well, Chicago is huge to me! The octopus represents expansion, but also being grounded in an ever changing world. The waves represent the changes in my life, much like waves and currents change the sea.
